SO, LIKE, WHAT'S THE POINT?

You know, I bean this website a long time ago, without any specific goals in mind. Over the last five years, however, certain ideas have sprung to mind that I have found difficult to shake. For instance, I've had a couple near-death experiences, I've lost my love, my business has been flailing, all manner of mayhem has been unleashed in my life.

I am sick of a lot of things in my world. Many of those things are probably things you are sick of, too. I want to take aim at these things - linguistically, of course - and I want you to join me. We need to outline what the fucking PROBLEM is with this society - and we must have the faith that those problems can be solved by our collective brainpower.

All of my enemies are abstract. (Except one.) Perhaps that makes me a little too philosophical for your taste. It's just I'd rather hate a QUALITY of certain people, rather than hating an individual that exhibits that quality. In other words, I hold out the possibility that the individual may change with time (as I certainly have). Instead of hating Phil Knight, I'll hate his company.

And actually, I'm not even going to go so far as to say that I "hate" my enemies. I don't really hate anything at all; I regard everything as part of a united cosmos, and I understand the fact of the existence of these enemies as a necessary component of That Which Exists. My point in using the word "hate" is to underline the fact that this website means to bring all of the below institutions of yuckiness and oppression tumbling down. Hell yeah.
