our generation wants its dream back.
Equality in the bureaucratic workplace sharply contrasts with the speed of entrepreneurship. Most people are ranked in a pecking order of status at work, which limits their opportunities to succeed beyond certain limited parameters. Some of these class distinctions are generated spontaneously by individuals within the bureaucracy, not even mandated from above.
Society is getting torn between:
1) bigness and
2) speed.
Bigness makes a business or organization slow and bureaucratic. Workers must squeeze themselves into conformity to preserve their paychecks. The military production style of manufacturing has now consolidated in China. The Western workforce has become rootless and disenfranchised, reduced to churning out “information products” rather than making anything real. Technology has delivered platforms for the sale of information products. The jujitsu I propose is that all products begin as information.
Whatever I create is a raw reflection of the ideas within me. Physical manifestations of ideas are often worth paying for. Understand that the real value is in the idea, not in the manifestation - the mind, not the matter. Your goal must be to capture the value of the ideas you unleash.
Also, ideas are free – they can usually be stolen. To capture the value of your ideas, it’s.enough to merely have them. You must build a project around them and deliver the value to a thirsty audience.
Glorious opportunities exist for individuals interested in joining in creative synergy to produce information products together, upending the model of individualism through redefining teamwork. Bureaucracies seal workers off from one another. This makes work boring, and we waste our free time in entertainment and vice as a reaction to the ennui of work.
Our generation needs the American Dream back. We need to invigorate the economy. I need you to work together to shake it up.
