on brainstorming with tinyvox: use it or lose it
I use tinyvox to brainstorm.
Not having to look at the screen lets me zone out and brainstorm properly.
Thinking about publicity and it’s been frustrating. I need to Change my approach. People don’t get it yet.
By not having to worry about looking at the screen, I can focus on just coming up with ideas – the essence of brainstorming means never looking back.
The advantage of the pause button mean that I can gather my thoughts or go off mic for a bit. Audio is less conscious, which is the essence of brainstorming.
It’s easy to turn audio into text.
The essence of communication is articulation. Getting raw ideas out through talking them out is a really amazing new tool for brainstorming. TinyVox lets you keep moving forward in brainstorming: no typos, no looking back while you’re taping.
When I’m paused I can take a moment to write up a little bit about an idea I just had. I should talk about the pause button as a way to make on the fly text synopses of the idea you just said.
With audio you aren’t as conscious - you’re just getting your brainstorming out raw.
In the second phase, the play and share screen is where I can take notes on myself. Pause, type and the unpause; everything you need to type up the brainstorm is right there on the second screen.
By talking out your idea you’re getting words out of your mind that were stuck there. Those words then get spread to other minds. As you are sending out audio and typing both, you’re hitting two halves of the listeners’ brain.
And on an iPhone 4s you can even talk out your notes on your audio brainstorming. It’s amazing!!!
If you dig making the most of your brainstorming sessions, use tinyvox :D
